We track what supermarkets actually charge — and whether the “specials” are real.
Every night, ShopHop pulls prices from Woolworths, Coles and Aldi and saves them. After 90 days you get a real picture of what a product normally costs — which makes it obvious when a “sale” is just the regular price with a red sticker on it.
Under Australian consumer law, a “was” price has to be real. The ACCC's rough standard is that a product should have sold at that price for at least 28 of the past 90 days. If it didn't, the “was” price is misleading. ShopHop flags those automatically.
